What makes a successful mission? We here at Surrender40 Ministries pondered this right before we wrote this post, and this is what God has placed in our hearts. We believe there are 3 things that make a mission GREAT, and they are the following;

  1. Sharing The Gospel
  2. Showing God's LOVE
  3. People giving their lives to Jesus

With that being said, Surrender40 Ministries would like to thank Dottie Wheeler and Pat Cyr (pictured above on each side of our founder, Trachena) for making our Christmas Day "LOVE BAG MISSION" at The Heart of Florida Hospital our MOST successful and anointed mission in our 5 year history. We saw absolute MIRACLES happen before our eyes. So as not to be too wordy and deliver a long drawn out post, HERE ARE THE MIRACLES...bullet point style;

  • A young man named John rededicated his life to The Lord, after many years of drinking, drugging and backsliding. He repented and said he would turn from his sins and read his Bible when he got home.
  • A woman named Faith, who seemed very withdrawn and sad when we walked into her room, broke down and began to cry when we asked her what she needed prayer for. You see her daughter is in prison (doing a life sentence without parole for murder) and it was hurting her heart so badly. No coincidences in God's Kingdom, as we are also a Prison Ministry and Trachena took her daughters name and has already written a letter of hope to her, to show her the LOVE of God.
  • We were miraculously allowed on to the 5th Floor, and we have NEVER been given access to a Maternity Ward before, where we witnessed to a 17 year old girl named Kayla, who on Christmas Eve gave birth to her 2nd child, as we assured he how very much God loved her.
  • And finally, but MOST miraculously, a man named Eddie, an older man in his early 60's, who told us that his mother was involved in the church when he was a child, and had always prayed for him to be saved, but he wandered away from God because the whole idea of God's Son dying for his sin NEVER really made sense to him until that day, when our ministry collided with his doubts and The Holy Spirit filled his heart as he gave his life to Jesus right there in his hospital bed. As Trachena was sharing The Gospel with him, he said "YOU SOUND JUST LIKE MY MOM", proving that when God does one thing, He does many, and once again is evidenced by Proverbs 22:6,  which says "Train a child in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it"
MIRACLES???? Absolutely, SALVATION is a miracle. The gift of eternal life is a miracle, because if we all got what we deserved, there would be NOBODY in heaven. So we absolutely consider this a very successful mission. How about you?
As we close out 2013, we would like to thank all of you that have prayed for, loved on and supported Surrender40 Ministries for the last 5 years. We could never have done this without you and we are so grateful for you all. To God be ALL the glory, and know in your hearts that we love you and pray for you all. Once again, have a Happy and Blessed New Year and know that;

We Will Rise When He Calls Our Name,
The Ministry Team of Surrender40 Ministries
