**FEEDING THE HOMELESS-UPDATE-WEEK TWO (2)**

"He is Risen"........seems like the most appropriate way to start a blog that I write on Resurrection Sunday, so as The Lord leads me I will do that, however, this post is about our 2nd successful week of feeding ministry in downtown Miami. By the grace and mercy of God, Surrender40 has now served 342 meals, including the 106 this past Saturday. Only through His blessings can we boldly and lovingly go into the streets of Miami, where there are some of the highest crime rates in this nation and feed the homeless and hungry and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You really have to be present to appreciate the faces of people that normlly do NOT eat everyday, or maybe even every other day, as we hand them a "Love Bag" filled with food and drinks and candy this week-:-), and proclaim that "He is Risen", and He loves you with all His heart! WOW!!!!

So excuse me while I drift off into a small sermon for the faithful readers of Surrender40 blog. I do this because this word was inspired by my wife Trachena, and God placed it in my heart to share a bit of it with you. It's called "The Dash", and this is what I want to share with you.

The next time you are in a cemetary, look at a gravestone, read the writing on it and think on these things. There are a few things on that stone that are basically UNCONTROLLABLE, but ONE thing that is NOT!! The first is your name, you didn't pick it, it was given to you by your parents, or some other relative that raised you. The second is your birthdate, ZERO control over that, it just is! The next thing is the date of your death. The person buried beneath the stone you are reading, unless they took their own life, probably had nothing to do with that date as well. So what is the one thing that we as human beings have the power to control?

It's the DASH, the little ---- between the date of birth and the death date. It is what we do with the dash that not only determines who we are, but also determines where we will spend eternity. How we live our lives from birth to death, the choices we make, the love we give or don't give, and most of all the decision to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior.........what we do with that DASH, will determine our eternity. Think heavily after you read this about what your DASH will say about you!

Here at Surrender40, our hearts desire is for God to look at the DASH of the members of our ministry team, and when it's all said and done, for Him to say "Well done, my good and faithful servants"

THAT IS WHY WE WERE CREATED, TO LOVE, AND BE LOVED BY HIM, AND TO LOVE OTHERS AS HE LOVES US.

To our faithful readers, we continue to need your prayes and financial support, as we fund this entire ministry from our hearts as well as our bank account!

PLEASE ASK GOD TO LEAD YOU TO HELP US WITH PRAYER AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT! MAY HE BLESS YOU ALWAYS! Share/Bookmark

I rejoice in the midst of the DASH.

No matter what is going on...my dash has been fulfilled with His love-what else is there to do but be thrilled with His love-no matter what is going on...hard times, great times-He is our amazing Lord-that when we seek Him will get us thru our trials-and take care of us! Bring us happiness thru everything-we turn all our "tough" times into something we can help others grow closer to Him with-or come to Him with! Suffering happens for reasons...and I rejoice!! His plans are the only plans to live by...so that dash is enlightened with joy thru Him!
God bless you!
